Find a Chinese Auspicious Date

Pick what you are planning and when you are free, then add the people involved if you like. Days the almanac advises against and hours that clash with anyone are removed first; what remains is listed as time slots you can actually book.

Which dates work?

Search

People involved (optional)

Add birth dates to avoid days and hours that clash with anyone. Up to 4 people.

How it works

  1. 1

Choose the event: wedding, moving in, opening, travel… Everyday things like meetings or exams work too — the almanac doesn't list them, so they are scheduled by your free time and personal clashes only.

  2. 2

Set the date range. Optionally limit it to weekends, to certain hours, and to how long you need.

  3. 3

Add the people involved: type in birth dates, or pick saved charts after signing in. Up to four people, and nobody may be clashed.

Why add birth dates

Many date pickers only filter by zodiac sign, which means looking at the birth year alone. Two people born in the same year can have different day branches. Take two people born on 15 and 16 June 1990, both moving house around noon on 23 October 2026: the first is not clashed, while the second has a Rat day branch, which the Horse hour clashes. A zodiac filter cannot tell them apart.

When several people are involved, everyone is looked after: no one is clashed at any point in the slot you get.

If you don't know a birth time

You can still use it. Results that hold whatever the birth hour are stated plainly; anything that depends on the hour is labelled "if born between … and …".

If one question would make the result clearer, say, morning or afternoon, it's asked once. Skip it if you're not sure.

When nothing fits

You will see which condition ruled the days out, such as "weekends only" or "needs three hours in a row", and how many slots each change would add, so you can decide what to relax.

FAQ

Does a chosen date guarantee things go well?

No. Date selection is a tradition: it follows almanac rules and your birth data to avoid taboos and find a time everyone is comfortable with. It does not predict outcomes — venue, weather and people’s schedules should still decide the final plan.

Can I just use zodiac signs?

A sign alone misses day-branch clashes, so the date finder asks for a birth date. You don't need the time.

Can I schedule meetings, exams or interviews?

You can pick times for them, but the almanac doesn't list modern activities, so we won't call them favored or unfavored — slots are based on your availability and personal clashes only.

How do I save the time I picked?

Every slot can be added to your phone or computer calendar as an .ics file. Signed-in users can also save a plan and compare later; if a birth record is edited afterwards, the old plan is flagged for re-checking.
